After breakfast at the Hotel, we walked to the Iglesia Salvador. One great tip, is to buy the combo ticket at the Salvador church which will also give you entry to the Catedral de Seville for 9 Euros. It allows you to skip the long line at the Seville Cathedral. With the combo ticket, there was no line for me to enter. The entrance is at the base of the bell tower, as seen here. Stay to the left, groups enter on the right.
After entrance, turn left to for the start of the trek up to the top of the clock tower. It is also included in your entrance fee. To get to the top, you have to walk on ramps, instead of steps, made for horses to be able to take its riders to the top. Prepare yourself for 34 floors that look like this. It was definitely easier than steps!
After spending about an hour in the Cathedral, we headed to the Real Alcazar, only around the corner. Don’t wait in the long line to enter! You can purchase your ticket online, and show your downloaded tickets for a timed entry from your phone. No one wants to stand around for an hour in the hot sun if it can be easily avoided.
About 20,000 steps later, it was time for another afternoon siesta back to the hotel. We accidentally skipped lunch. Although, also take note, many restaurants in Seville close from around 4 pm to 8 pm.
Refreshed and getting slightly hangry, we decided to eat at the sister restaurant of the night before because of the great food, Mamarracha. It appeared to have similar menu items. We got the burger again, because sometimes you just want that meat!
Dinner at Mamarracha
Shishito peppers with aioli sauce was a great starter.
Paparracha. Potatoes with Bacon and a buttery mushroom cream sauce.
Pork Belly Bao
Grilled Vegetables were tasty
Pork Loin with chimichurri sauce. Honestly, I liked the sauce better than the actually meat. Second hamburger
Walked a little after dinner and headed back to the hotel. Day 2 in Sevilla complete.
